A Beautiful Ann Arbor Day

What a wonderful day!

The Michigan air laps at your skin as you dip your hand into an icy cooler and grab a frosty drink. It’s a glorious day.

Brats and burgers sizzle, juicy fruit melts in your mouth, and potato salad comes in overflowing bowls.

Yes…

The sounds, aromas, and emotions are high on this patriotic day. Fun, games, and booths are back and blankets lie all across the grassy lawn. Sunshine bounces off the lake, and baseballs crack from bats. Then suddenly, after dusk, as if the day couldn’t get any better…

Boom! Pop!

The starry, open sky emits color over the lush trees, sending sparks in shades of beautiful red, blue, and white.

You hear “oohs” and “ahs” coming from the crowd and the bursting spectacle whistles, whizzes, and whirrs, evoking a splendid atmosphere of light. Wonder is all around you, and there’s no better place you could be.

Savor this moment, and absorb the beauty –

It’s Fourth of July Fireworks!

The Haven of Ann Arbor knows 2020 was hard, so we are here to make your holiday easy. Though somewhat limited this year, we put together the best fireworks shows near Ann Arbor, Michigan. See the following links for more info:

  1. Salute to America: Summer Stroll

Salute to America is one of the best ways to  experience the Fourth of July with our neighbors over in Dearborn. The Henry Ford and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra are proud to host this event, and the price is worth it. Three Detroit Symphony Orchestra performances with rotating ensembles will be playing throughout the event. Street food, cold beer, treats and more will preclude a fantastic fireworks display each night. The festival runs June 30-July 3rd, and tickets are available here

  1. Whitmore Lake Fireworks 2021

If you want lakes, we have them. North of Ann Arbor, Whitmore Lake will be putting on a show Friday, July 2, at dusk. The event will take place at Whitmore Lake (Main Street, Whitmore Lake). There will be music, games, and food vendors starting at 7pm in the field across from the Post Office on main St. Fireworks begin at 9:55pm.

  1. Brownstown Charter TWP Fireworks Show

Another neighbor to the southeast of us,  Brownstown will be putting on a show July 3rd. Lake Erie Metropark (32481 W Jefferson, Brownstown) will be the location, and the show will take place at sundown. Remember to arrive early to snag a spot and enjoy the park with friends and family. Your Metroparks vehicle pass is required to enter any Metropark. They can be purchased here

If you want to explore more fireworks shows in Detroit Metro and Michigan, there is a list here.
